What about washing your sports textiles on the cold cycle?Answer :
Washing on the cold cycle can help you make considerable energy savings. Heating of water accounts for 80% of the energy your washing machine uses (for a 60°C wash).
This is huge, especially given that washing 10°C cooler can save 37% of your washing machine's energy use.
In France, the average washing temperature is 44°C. This is still a bit high. In Spain, more than 80% of washes are done at 30°C or less.
Washing on cold is also good for the environment: every time somebody cuts their energy use, they are helping to reduce CO2 emissions.
And you can help even more by using ecological washing detergent.
