  Hello,

  Thank you for your interest in our brands.
  The component here is a membrane. This offers a waterproof component, amplified by the water repellent properties.
  However, the product is not designed to stand up to very heavy rain showers because the seams are not taped.
  To summarise, the product is designed for use in light rain, but not heavy showers.
  Regarding the windproofing, the component is 100% windproof. However, there are some weaknesses in the windproofing at the zips.
  To counter this, we have added an overlap of the windproof component to limit and in some cases prevent air seeping in. Zips used are reverse zips, which also keeps air out.This gives an optimum windproof finish.

  Hello, i want to know what's the difference between the Forclaz 900 and Bionnassay 500? one for trekking and the other for mountaineering? is the bionnassay more resistent? Thanks

  Thanks you for your interest of our products.
  The jacket Bio 500 is a jacket of Mountaineering. But in the facts, she is general-purpose for several manners of climbing: long journey of height, ski touring, waterfall of glaçe, etc....
    Her conception is studied for the activities practised in high mountain:
  - Set-in sleeves upward so that the jacket does not go back up when the user raises arms - hood: deeper and more voluminous than the normal to be carried above a helmet of climbing
  - collar: higher than the normal so that the mouth and the nose of the user meets itself behind the collar when this one is closed until height = > optimal protection
  - poach breasts situated near the central zip not to be blocked by the port of a belt.
  - important opening of pockets breasts so that the user can get back something inside while keeping his gloves
  - opening of the bottom of sleeve with bellows so that the user can cross the wrists of his gloves under the jacket
  - tissue: performance raised in term of impermeability and of respirabilité. Level of déperlance importing.
   
  We have no comparative degree between the tissue of the jacket F900 and the jacket Bio 500.

  Beyond this comparative degree, the jacket Bio 500 is really studied for the practices of the more successful Mountaineering and more comfortable.
