Question No.1
Do you need to shave your underarms to improve sweat wicking?Answer :
Hello,
Thanks for your question.
It is true that shaving or hair removal means the skin dries faster, but it can also increase dehydration when water intake is restricted (during running for example).
This goes for all parts of the skin exposed to evaporation (back, stomach etc.) (source: Evolution of sweat glands), but it isn't really a big problem for the underarms which tend to stay damp. The benefit of shaving is more the elimination of bacteria and the related odours, which can be irritating.

Question No.2
I use lots of Kalenji running clothes (with Equarea concept) and I'm very satisfied with them.
1- Can you confirm that I don't need softener when washing these garments?
2- Why is tumble drying not recommended?
Does it affect the quick drying properties?
Thanks in advance for your reply and congratulations for such good products.Answer :
Sir, Madam,
Thank you for your question and your interest in the Equarea brand.
You can use softener when washing your Equarea garments, it won't in any way affect the quick drying. But because the fabric is made from micro-fibres, softener shouldn't really be necessary.
You can also tumble dry the garments, which won't damage the quick drying properties. However, the fabric dries so quickly that it's not really necessary to tumble dry.
If the t-shirt is washed on a fast spin, it should be dry 2 hours after you remove it from the machine.

Question No.3
Hello,
For the best comfort, should I wear an Equarea-style technical base layer under a Stratermic garment?Answer :
Hello,
Thanks for your interest in our brands. Equarea textile will indeed guarantee comfort. Equarea-labelled sportswear actively wicks perspiration so you don't feel damp or chilled during and after sport.
Equarea is recommended as a base layer, as it dries fast and is perfectly suited to many sports. Stratermic-labelled textile is warm and light. These garments keep a layer of warm air trapped around your body. This helps insulate you from the cold. You can also choose a Novadry garment for protection from the rain.

Question No.4
Hello,
I shall want to know if your clothes anti-perspiring(anti-transpiring) for the ski and the fitness consist of nano-particles? Of what consist these clothes?
I thank you in advance for your answer
cordiallyAnswer :
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in the Equarea brand.
Our ski and fitness textiles, and all other active moisture management textiles, do not use nano-particles.
Equarea textiles are 100% synthetic technical components (polyester and/or polyamide and/or elasthane), with a hydrophilic treatment and double-sided construction.
The double-sided knit and the textile itself combine to enable active and efficient perspiration wicking.
I hope this answers your question.Sporting regards ,

DID YOU KNOW?

- Washing at 20° or 30°C is effective
dirt is removed even in a cold wash. And more often than not, clothes are only lightly soiled. For heavily soiled laundry, or hard-to-remove stains (such as oil, grass or mud), wash slightly hotter.
